Everton Park is a residential suburb of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is about 9 kilometers north of the Brisbane CBD. It was believed that Thomas McDowall named the suburb in 1870 linking it after the inner north-eastern district of Everton in Liverpool, England. The Ferny Hills Progress Association also documented some of the early accounts of the region and Jim Lightfoot’s work that identifies the early Everton Park history highlighting the early Everton Park Postal service.
This suburb is mostly residential, with more than a quarter of the population living in semi-detached and higher density houses and almost every homeowner will most likely several form of blockage within their surroundings. Blocked drains can be a very common cause of annoyance in a household environment due to buildup of grease and other fatty substances that are wash down the drains and in time solidify causing a permanent block in the pipelines. Any oily substances which are eroded down the sinks will stick to the inside of the pipes, eventually building up so much that no more liquid can pass through. Hair, soap scums and other foreign materials are caught between the drainpipe and the main lines underneath which may not necessarily block the water at first but over time the materials will continue to collect preventing an effective and a more efficient flow of water.
