Myrtletown is an independent locality situated within the suburb of Pinkenba, Queensland, Australia. This area is located in the east of Pinkenba and is situated near the northern bank of the aperture of the Brisbane River.
The region was known formerly as a semi-rural residential area but with the construction of the Brisbane Airport at the neighboring Cribb Island became a reason for most residents to leave. Since then, the locality was became a target for industrial companies and has rapidly been expanding over the years. There are still a considerable number of households in the area. Due to the numerous buildup of foreign objects and substances coming from these establishments and structures, the likelihood of experiencing clogged drains are very high. Choked or blocked drainage can happen when culprits or such as soaps, fats or food accumulation become trapped between the drainpipe and the pipes that flow underneath. These materials may not fully block the water flow, but over time materials will continue to collect which will prevent water from flowing freely. Continuous ground movement and structure building may cause unwanted damage along drain pipes and water lines which will lead to sand, silt and sediments to enter these openings which will lead to permanent blockades if no immediate response is given.
