Rochedale is an outer suburb of Brisbane located 17 kilometres south-east of the Brisbane Central Business District. It has a population of 1, 092 as recorded by the 2011 Australian Census.
The suburb’s name came from the Roche family from Ireland who emigrated to Australia in 1860. In 1868, the family built a homestead which they called Rochedale. Residential developments in the area began in the 1960s. The Rochedale State School was established in 1931 while the Redeemer Lutheran College was opened in 1981.
In 2009, a major urban community development in Rochedale has been approved by the Brisbane City Council turning bush and farm lands into housing estates. This development is expected to result to a major growth in population to over 17, 000 residents within 15-20 years. Even with huge urban developments, the suburb has built a wildlife corridor for the preservation of local flora and fauna.
Having major urban development means that there can be a lot of heavy equipment being used and transported because of ongoing construction. Constant ground movement can affect or damage your pipelines underground, thus causing drainage blockage. When this occurs, the problem can be identified using our camera inspection equipment. We can provide you with a high-definition recording of the incurred damage via USB if you need it. Our radio frequency locator can also accurately detect the problem and even determine its depth.
Blocked drains can be very unpleasant, preventing wastewater from leaving your household or property. If you are experiencing problems with your drainage system in Rochedale, just call Drain Cleaning Brisbane at 07 3667 8003 and we will take action immediately.
