Wynnum West has been considered as a post World War II suburb is located 13 kilometers east of Brisbane CBD. It was declared as a separate suburb in 1975. The population of the region reached 11,745 based on the 2011 Australian census and a possible attraction includes continuous developments or residential and commercial establishments ranging from department stores and supermarkets, shops, groceries and offices.
The population has sustained increase since the 1990s as an aftermath of more dwellings being constructed, and the suburb is now largely residential with a small commercial area on Wynnum Road.
