Mackenzie is a small residential suburb of the City of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia located 20 kilometres south-east of the Brisbane Central Business District. A 20-25 minute drive will take you to the Bribane CBD through the South East Freeway. It has a population of 1, 884 according to the 2011 Australian Census.
The area is partially covered by bushland where Mount Petrie is also located. It is a small and peaceful residential suburb with two churches, a school which is Mount Petrie State School and a petrol station. Though there has been a lot of real estate development that took place in the last decade with hundreds of new houses being built. The neighbouring suburbs are Belmont, Burbank, Chandler, Mansfield, Roshedale, Upper Mount Gravatt and Wishart. Mount Gravatt-Capalaba Road and Gateway Motorway are the major roads that run through the suburb.
