Blocked Drains Mansfield

Mansfield and surrounding suburbs

Mansfield is a residential suburb of the City of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia situated 11 kilometres south-east of the Brisbane Central Business District. It has a population of 8, 473 according to the 2011 Census and is located at the “Bible Belt” which is the colloquial term for the region in the city with a number of Christian schools and churches. A lot of people have settled in the area to be closer to these schools and churches, thus the name of the region. In 1967, the suburb itself was named after the governor of Queensland at that time, Sir Alan Mansfield.

The suburb was once an agricultural area for dairy cattle and sheep grazing. There was also light industrial development related to agriculture like wool processing and scouring. It still has pockets of bushland and parkland. Their largest park is Broadwater Park where families usually go for picnics and barbecues.

The suburb also has the “Rock Arena” which was recently reopened. It was a popular venue for concerts that featured bands like The Offspring, Hunters & Collectors, Hoodoo Gurus, and the British rock band, The Cult among others.

Residents of the suburb enjoy the various amenities and the natural greenery that surround the area. Though roots from large trees can be quite a problem for the drainage system at home, residents need not worry because local drain cleaning experts are just a phone call away.
