Blocked Drains Robertson

Robertson and surrounding suburbsRobertson is an outer suburb of Brisbane which is located 13 kilometres south of the Brisbane Central Business District. In 1967, the suburb was officially named in honor of Doctor William Nathaniel Robertson who was a member of the senate in Queensland. It is one of the few suburbs located near the University of Queensland which are linked to University’s history.

The Robertson State Primary School provides elementary education to the residents of the suburb. It was opened in 1980 that started with 124 students. The Preschool was opened a couple of weeks later with an initial enrolment of 26 students. The schools were officially opened by V.J. Bird who is the Minister for Education.

Outer suburbs in Brisbane are usually covered with lush greenery of a variety of trees and plant life. Tree roots are one of the major causes of blocked drains because they can heavily damage pipelines underground. Also, with high traffic from schools, the area is likely to develop drainage problems that are mostly caused by grease, hair, sand and silt, and other foreign objects or debris.

Having blocked drains can be very unpleasant, preventing wastewater from leaving your household or property. If you’re having difficulty in flushing your toilet or if you see that water doesn’t drain away quickly, this could be a sign of clogged pipelines.
